This strain is brimming with historical significance. It was the first magic mushroom encountered by modern western civilization. Two Americans, a banker and a society photographer travelled to the city of Oaxaca in Mexico in the 1950’s and partook in a ritual with Mazatepic shaman, Maria Sabina. Soon after, word got out and the likes of Bob Dylan, John Lennon and Mick Jagger, among others, made their own pilgrimages to Oaxaca for their transformative experience of the Mazatepic mushroom. The biggest risk in taking magic mushrooms is doing them in an unsafe, unsupervised setting. If you or your friends are doing a moderate to high dose, have a sober friend there to make sure you stay safe and avoid danger. Also, if you get anxious, sober friends can remind you that everything is going to be okay, you’ve taken psychedelic mushrooms but nothing bad is going to happen to you, your body is safe and you will come down from being high and feel normal again.
The great thing about our magic mushrooms is that they are non-toxic and non-addictive. In fact, even after taking a high dose, your body will not experience toxicity or hangover. That being said, always make sure you have a friend to take care of you if you are doing a high dose.
