Dose levels

What to expect, at every level

Effects vary by body weight, metabolism, stomach contents, and personal sensitivity. Always start lower than you think you need — drag the slider to explore.

Micro

50–300mg

Sub-perceptual. No high. Subtle mood lift, focus, and creativity. You don’t feel “something” — you just feel better.

100mg caps
½–3
200mg caps
¼–1½
300mg caps
⅙–1

Capsule counts are approximate for the selected range — adjust to your own tolerance.

Wait at least 90 minutes before considering a top-up. Peak effects may take 2–4 hours.

Microdosing protocols

Find your rhythm

Microdosing works best on a schedule — not every day. Off-days prevent tolerance. Choose what fits your lifestyle, not what sounds best on paper.

Fadiman Protocol

Easy to track, with a clear distinction between dose days and rest days.

Stick with it. Give a protocol at least 3–4 weeks before deciding whether it works for you. Always rest: take 2–4 weeks completely off after every 4–8 week cycle.

Your journey timeline

How it unfolds

A rough map of the hours and days ahead, depending on your dose.

Onset
30–90 min

Something’s shifting

Subtle changes may start to appear: heightened sensory perception, brighter colors, or a shift in thinking. Be patient and don’t rush into redosing.

Peak
2–4 hrs

The most intense stretch

Vivid visuals, deep introspection, altered perceptions of time and space, and heightened emotional response. If things feel intense, focus on your breathing — it will pass.

Comedown
4–6 hrs

Settling back

Intensity tapers off. Many people report relaxation, clarity, and calm. This can be a good time to reflect, journal, or talk with a trusted friend.

Integration
Day after+

Bringing it home

You may feel more introspective or emotionally open the day after. Reflect on any insights and consider how to integrate them into daily life.

Preparation & safety

Set yourself up well

Set your intention

Think about what you want from the experience — personal growth, emotional exploration, or creative inspiration. A clear intention can help guide the journey.

Start low, be patient

Begin with a smaller dose if you’re unsure about potency or tolerance. Wait at least 90 minutes before considering more — mushrooms can have a slow onset.

Choose a calm space

Pick a location where you feel safe, comfortable, and undisturbed. Dim lighting, soft music, or nature sounds can help set the right mood.

Have support if needed

Especially for higher doses, a trusted friend, facilitator, or sitter can offer reassurance or assistance if needed.

Prepare mentally & physically

Make sure you’re in a good headspace before starting. If you feel stressed or anxious, consider waiting. A light, healthy meal beforehand can help you feel grounded.

Don’t redose early

Mushrooms take time to develop. If you don’t feel much after an hour, more may already be on the way. Wait it out.

Drug interactions

Know before you combine

Combining psilocybin with certain medications can be unsafe. These are some of the most important interactions to know about:

SSRIs & SNRIs

Antidepressants such as Prozac, Zoloft, or Lexapro may significantly blunt or block effects. Stopping them suddenly to microdose is dangerous — always consult your doctor first.

MAOIs

These can intensify effects unpredictably and dangerously. Do not combine them without qualified medical guidance.

Lithium

Lithium is used for bipolar disorder. Combining it with psychedelics has been linked to seizures and should be avoided.

Alcohol

Avoid alcohol on dose days. It may disrupt the experience and add unnecessary strain on the body.

Cannabis

Cannabis can significantly amplify effects, especially at higher doses. Use caution.
